On July 6th, at the "Environmental Protection New Product and Technology Release Conference" of the 2025 Ecological Civilization Guiyang International Forum, China Water Environment Group's independently developed "Efficient and Land saving Composite Biofilm (HBR) Sewage Treatment Technology" was highlighted. The core and application value of its technology provide a new path for the intensive and low-carbon transformation of the urban sewage treatment industry.

Pang Hongtao, Vice President of China Water Environment Group, introduced in his speech that in the face of the triple challenges of land shortage, low-carbon emission reduction, and high standard treatment faced by urban sewage treatment plants, the "High Efficiency and Land saving Composite Biofilm (HBR) Sewage Treatment Technology" has achieved breakthroughs through structural innovation, material upgrading, and precise control, solving the problems of "tight land use, high standards, and high carbon emissions" in urban sewage treatment, and providing sustainable solutions for high-density urban areas.

HBR technology is suitable for the construction, renovation, and expansion of sewage treatment plants, ensuring that the effluent quality meets the national first-class A or quasi IV standards. At the same time, it can provide a "maximum land compression" solution for new projects, shorten the construction period, reduce comprehensive costs, and promote the utilization of recycled water resources without adding new land. We have 11 core patent groups covering the entire chain of materials, processes, and control, and have been selected for 3 national level technology catalogs, laying the foundation for technological originality.
