China Water Environment Group is a professional scientific and technological platform specializing in water environment and resource recycling. After over a decade of research and practice, it innovatively proposed the distributed subsurface recycled water ecosystem technology, transforming the century-old global centralized water treatment model. By relocating wastewater treatment plants underground and shifting from centralized to distributed systems, it achieves efficient utilization of water resources, land resources, and green energy. The system technology holds 591 patents and 135 inventions, has been included in the National Advanced Pollution Prevention Technology Catalog, and has won the National Technology Invention Prize (Second Prize). It also led the achievement of the Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Progress Prize (First Prize) and the Environmental Technology Progress Prize (First Prize).

The system technology addresses the technical challenges of integrating sewage collection, treatment, reuse, and river channel remediation in large urban areas, achieving the recycling and utilization of water resources, green energy, and land resources. It provides strong support for urban green, low-carbon transformation and high-quality development. With a treatment capacity exceeding 6.3 million tons per day and cumulative investments surpassing 65 billion yuan, it serves 22 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, catering to approximately 45 million people and covering an area of about 50,000 square kilometers. Notable national key projects include the Nanning River in Guiyang, the Beijing Sub-Center, and the Dali Ring Erhai Lake project.
