Following the comprehensive improvement and management approach of "water environment, water resources, water ecology, and water culture", Guiyang City explores a deep integration of ecology and urban development in the Nanming River Basin to promote water management and development. Since 2012, Guiyang City has formulated strong rectification measures, continuously promoted the comprehensive treatment of the Nanming River, invested 7.591 billion yuan, built 20 new recycled water plants, implemented the industrial enterprise "retreat from the city and enter the park" action, and stopped industrial pollution outside the main urban area. Guiyang City has been managing the Nanming River for more than 40 years, and has been plagued by water shortages in the river channel for a long time. Every year, water needs to be diverted from the reservoir. The completion of the first sunken reclaimed water plant in the province in 2014, Qingshan Reclaimed Water Plant, has explored a new path for water management and development in Guiyang City that deeply integrates watershed ecology and urban development. The water quality treated by the Qingshan Reclaimed Water Plant has reached the surface level IV standard, and approximately 18.5 million tons of ecological landscape water are replenished to the Nanming River annually, saving about 15 million yuan in water transfer costs. This has achieved the transformation of urban ecological "negative assets" to "positive assets". The Jinyang Reclaimed Water Plant, located in Guanshan Lake District, is a "sewage collection station" that absorbs domestic sewage from Guanshan Lake District. It is also the largest recycled water plant in Guiyang City at present, with a total daily treatment capacity of 180000 tons of domestic sewage, radiating to the surrounding 57 square kilometers and 650000 people for domestic sewage treatment.
