In 2012, 2015, 2019, and 2022, the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment awarded a total of four batches of 39 Shanghai environmental education bases, including venues with ecological education functions, natural ecological environment places, units with environmental protection facilities open to the public, as well as research institutes (schools) and enterprises with ecological education functions.

Among them, Shanghai Children's Liuhe Activity Camp and Shanghai Jiading Nanxiang Water Environment Purification Co., Ltd. were also selected for the first batch of Shanghai "Great Ideological and Political Course" practical teaching bases recently announced by the Shanghai Education and Health Work Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Shanghai Education Committee.

Shanghai Jiading Nanxiang Water Environment Purification Co., Ltd. was established in 2014, jointly invested by China Water Environment Group and Shanghai Jiading Chengfa Group. The Shanghai Jiading Nanxiang Submerged Reclaimed Water Plant, which is invested, constructed and operated by the company, adopts an underground sewage treatment method. A water ecological park and a water environment science popularization hall are built above ground, forming a "factory museum park" complex. This not only solves the needs of drainage and sewage resource utilization, but also creates a smart science popularization site and beautiful living environment for citizens. It is praised by the media as the "most beautiful water plant in China".
