China Report | Deputy Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Praises China Water Environment Group''s Distributed Underground Reclaimed Water Ecosystem

On the morning of September 8th, the ribbon cutting ceremony for the UNIDO booth of the 23rd China International Investment and Trade Fair (CIFIT) was held at the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center. Ms., Deputy Director General and Director General of Global Partnership and External Relations of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Ms. Fatou Haidara, Huang Shizhong, Vice Chairman of the Xiamen Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and heads of multiple investment and technology promotion offices around the world attended the ceremony.

During this year's CIIE, the UNIDO booth showcased advanced technologies for "digital" and "green" transformation, sharing the latest achievements of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and its partners in sustainable development, "dual carbon", digital transformation, and other fields. The ESG concept of China Water Environment Group is highly consistent with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDG6 (clean water and sanitation facilities), SDG9 (industry, innovation, and infrastructure), and SDG12 (responsible consumption and production). It was invited to participate as a demonstration case in the field of smart circular economy by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

After the ribbon cutting ceremony, Ms. Haidara, Deputy Director General of the United Nations Industrial and Development Organization, visited the UNIDO booth and exchanged ideas with Zhang Lujing, Vice President of China Water Environment Group, on the outstanding practices of sunken recycled water ecosystems in water ecological governance and resource utilization. Fatu Haidala praised the group for being selected for the UNIDO Global Call 2022 "Green and Low Carbon Technologies and Net Zero Goals" global program last year, and praised the group's contributions in water resource protection, water ecosystem restoration, and energy conservation and carbon reduction.

The UNIDO booth focuses on "digital" and "green" transformation, sharing the experiences and successful cases of various ITPOs and their host countries in attracting foreign investment, promoting technology transfer, and promoting inclusive and sustainable industrial development. The distributed sinking and regeneration water ecosystem of China Water Environment Group uses sewage as a stable second water source for cities, and conducts scientific collection, treatment, and resource utilization. Through a replicable and scalable green innovation technology system, it provides China's innovative technologies and solutions to different countries, helping the global green energy transformation and circular economy development.
