The reporter first visited the Xizhou sunken reclaimed water plant on the shore of Erhai Lake. The plant has a daily processing capacity of 10000 cubic meters and is one of the six sunken reclaimed water plants in the Dali Erhai Lake Interception Project of China Water Environment Group.

The upper layer can be planned to be used as some supporting tourism facilities in the future. The clean water from the upper layer will enter the next process unit for further purification, and the sludge from the lower part will be transferred to the sludge treatment unit, which can be used to make organic fertilizer after treatment."

The improvement of water quality in Erhai Lake is attributed to engineering measures such as pollution interception around the lake, relying on the distributed sinking and regeneration water ecosystem of China Water Environment Group. The six water plants are like a beautiful pearl necklace, blocking sewage from entering Erhai Lake, achieving full collection and nearby treatment of domestic sewage, and 100% reuse of regenerated water.
