  On July 27th, Guyana President Ali, who was invited to visit China and attend the opening ceremony of the Chengdu Universiade, arrived in Chengdu. Guiana Presidential Office Trade Advisor Krishna Pershoud and 16 Guyana entrepreneurs also accompanied the delegation to Chengdu and visited Tianfu New Area on July 28th for inspection.

It is understood that Guyana officially joined the "the Belt and Road" initiative in 2018. Over the past five years, bilateral cooperation has also been deepening. At the Planning Department of Tianfu New Area, the inspection team gained a detailed understanding of the development concept, ecological pattern, urban spatial structure, transportation system, functional positioning, public service facility system, etc. of Tianfu New Area, and had a preliminary understanding of the form of "park city" and "three parts of mountains and rivers, four parts of farmland, and three parts of the city embedded in it". Subsequently, the inspection team strolled along the banks of Xinglong Lake, experiencing the beautiful scenery of the park city with clear water, green shore, prosperous industry, and harmonious people.

At the First Reclaimed Water Plant in Tianfu New Area, the relevant person in charge of China Water Environment Group gave a detailed introduction to the inspection team on the construction concept of a sunken reclaimed water plant that is "environmentally friendly, land intensive, and resource utilization", as well as the ecological water environment engineering treatment situation in Chengdu Science City. The "above ground park+underground treatment" model of the recycled water plant has left a deep impression on visiting foreign guests.
