Xinhua News Agency Client | China Water Environment Group''s Sustainable Development Solutions Appear at the 3rd BEYOND International Science and Technology Innovation Expo

The 3rd BEYOND International Science and Technology Innovation Expo (BEYOND Expo 2023), hosted by the Macau Association of Science and Technology, was held in Macau from May 10th to 12th, 2023. Over 1000 companies from the Fortune Global 500 and large multinational corporations participated in the exhibition.

Jin Liqun, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank; Kishore Mahbubani, Vice President of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, Executive Vice President of the University of Science and Technology of China, President of the Institute of Quantum Information and Quantum Technology Innovation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Pan Jianwei, Academician of the CAS Member and the Academy of Sciences of Developing Countries; Shen Liantao, Chief Advisor of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission and Advisor of the Hong Kong Chief Executive for High Quality and Sustainable Economic Development; Kishore Mahbubani, Founder of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of the National University of Singapore and former President of the United Nations Security Council; Cai Chongxin, co-founder and Executive Vice President of the Board of Directors of Alibaba Group.

The theme of this conference is "Zhongyi Technology Redefined", focusing on four industry summits: investment and financing, consumer technology, sustainable development, and life sciences. Since its inception, the conference has continuously focused on sustainable development and provided cutting-edge solutions for global trends and challenges in the sustainable development industry.

Hou Feng, Chairman of China Water Environment Group, was invited to attend the conference and gave a keynote speech on "Innovation and Practice of Future Urban Green New Infrastructure". He stated that the group's independently developed distributed sinking and regeneration water ecosystem technology system has transformed sewage treatment facilities from above ground to underground, and from centralized to distributed, from treatment and discharge to efficient utilization of resources. It has built four centers that are highly integrated with the city, including water resources, green energy, digitalization, and spatial comprehensive utilization, to create a new green infrastructure for future cities. We hope to rely on this system technology to assist the technological innovation force and green industry development in the Greater Bay Area, and provide Chinese solutions for global sustainable development challenges.

During the meeting, Liu Xianfa, the special envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao Special Administrative Region (as shown in the left figure below), Li Weinong, the Director of the Economic and Financial Department of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government (as shown in the middle figure below), and Hou Feng (as shown in the right figure below) exchanged innovative models of distributed sinking recycled water systems on site.

Expo site

Since its first hosting in 2021, the BEYOND International Science and Technology Innovation Expo has developed into one of the largest and most influential international science and technology expos. This year's Expo will be held in Macau and Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone in an innovative way of "one exhibition, two locations", focusing on sustainable development, life sciences, and consumer technology. It will deeply explore the forefront of technological innovation and industrial development, inject new impetus and vitality into the implementation of Macau's "1+4" moderately diversified development strategy and the construction of Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, and play an important role in deepening Guangdong Macao cooperation and promoting the construction of the Greater Bay Area International Science and Technology Innovation Center.
