  On May 10-12, 2023, the 3rd BEYOND International Science and Technology Innovation Expo (BEYOND Expo 2023), hosted by the Macau Association of Science and Technology, was held in Macau. As one of the largest and most influential international technology expos in Asia, over 1000 companies from the Fortune Global 500 and large multinational corporations participated in the exhibition. China Water Environment Group, as a professional technology investment platform for water environment and resource utilization, was invited to participate in the exhibition, and the chairman of the group, Hou Feng, was invited to attend and give a keynote speech.

Jin Liqun, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, stated that he saw a more financially inclusive Asia at this expo. The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank believes that financial services can help people overcome poverty by issuing credit, enabling them to invest in education, purchase insurance, operate businesses, and withstand the impact of climate change. He proposed that digital infrastructure is crucial, and the AIIB prioritizes infrastructure development that supports the expansion of the digital economy, such as 5G base stations and fiber optic cables, as well as transforming existing infrastructure into digital intelligent infrastructure, such as smart cities and smart growth.

Hou Feng, Chairman of China Water Environment Group, was invited to attend the conference and gave a keynote speech on "Innovation and Practice of Future Urban Green New Infrastructure". He stated that the group's independently developed distributed sinking and regeneration water ecosystem technology system has transformed sewage treatment facilities from above ground to underground, and from centralized to distributed, from treatment and discharge to efficient utilization of resources. It has built four centers that are highly integrated with the city, including water resources, green energy, digitalization, and spatial comprehensive utilization, to create a new green infrastructure for future cities. We hope to rely on this system technology to assist the technological innovation force and green industry development in the Greater Bay Area, and provide Chinese solutions for global sustainable development challenges.

During the meeting, Liu Xianfa, the special envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao Special Administrative Region (as shown in the left figure below), Li Weinong, the Director of the Economic and Financial Department of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government (as shown in the middle figure below), and Chairman Hou Feng (as shown in the right figure below) exchanged innovative models of distributed sinking recycled water systems on site.

Since its first hosting in 2021, the BEYOND International Science and Technology Innovation Expo has developed into one of the largest and most influential international science and technology expos. This year's Expo will be held in Macau and Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone in an innovative way of "one exhibition, two locations", focusing on sustainable development, life sciences, and consumer technology. It will deeply explore the forefront of technological innovation and industrial development, inject new impetus and vitality into the implementation of Macau's "1+4" moderately diversified development strategy and the construction of Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, and play an important role in deepening Guangdong Macao cooperation and promoting the construction of the Greater Bay Area International Science and Technology Innovation Center.
