In the second episode of the "Series Report on the 50th Anniversary of the Restoration and Establishment of Baiyun District in the Wind and Rain," titled "Paintings Everywhere in the Mountains, Waters, and White Clouds," the Seven Colored Lake Reclaimed Water Plant under China Water Environment Group has taken a series of measures such as ecological water replenishment and restoration to recreate the beautiful scenery of "Seven Colored Surrounding the Lake and Colorful Life," becoming a popular ecological landscape belt and urban park among tourists.

Spring is in full swing, walking in the Rainbow Lake Wetland Park in Baiyun District, with lush green grass, rippling blue waves, and gradually blooming flowers. The former Qicai Lake was known as the "stinky pond". In 2017, Baiyun District carried out comprehensive management of Qicai Lake, and through a series of measures such as source control and pollution interception, river dredging, drainage and water replenishment, and ecological restoration, the water environment quality of Qicai Lake has been comprehensively improved.

Li Jianqiang, General Manager of Guizhou Yunxin Water Environment Industry Co., Ltd. of China Water Environment Group: The water treated by the reclaimed water plant is used for ecological and landscape water supply in Qicai Lake Park. Currently, it can provide about 7 million cubic meters of high-quality reclaimed water to Qicai Lake every year, ensuring the long-term cleanliness of the lake water in Qicai Lake Park and truly realizing the goal of returning the lake to the people and the ecology to the people.

Nowadays, a colorful lake with smooth rivers, green banks, and beautiful scenery has been achieved, reproducing the good ecological scene of fish swimming and herons flying. It has become an important place for Baiyun citizens to relax and entertain themselves.

Entering Yanshan Red Town in Baiyun District, the beautiful scenery of Baiyun Park, Quanhu Park, and Ma'anshan Park is overwhelming, leaving one dazzled. In recent years, Yanshanhong Town has always adhered to the development concept of people-oriented and ecological priority, continuously carried out the "Five Governance" and "Five Cleanliness Action" in rural areas, greatly improving the living environment and ecological environment in the jurisdiction. Currently, the green coverage rate of Yanshanhong Town's built-up area is 58.09%, with a per capita park green area of 21.84 square meters. There are six parks within the town, forming a green system that combines points, lines, and surfaces. Yanshanhong Town has also been awarded the first batch of "Garden Town" titles in Guiyang City as a result.

With dedication, effort, and emotion, Baiyun has consistently polished the foundation of high-quality development with a favorable ecological environment. As of 2022, the urban domestic sewage treatment rate in Baiyun District has reached 98.6%, and the water quality compliance rate of centralized drinking water sources remains at 100%; The forest coverage rate is 45.8%, and the excellent air quality rate is 98.6%.

Nowadays, Baiyun, from the livable urban area with green scenery to the beautiful countryside where mountains and rivers blend together, is surrounded by scenery everywhere. The concept of prioritizing ecology and promoting green development has deeply penetrated people's hearts.
