  On April 23rd, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced the "Beautiful China, I am an Actor" action plan to enhance citizens' awareness of ecological civilization. The plan includes the list of the 100 most beautiful ecological environment volunteers, the top 10 public participation cases, and the top 10 environmental protection facilities open units for 2023. The plan will be showcased to the society during this year's June 5th Environment Day. China Water Environment Group Qingshan Reclaimed Water Plant stood out from 53 candidate units selected nationwide and was selected as one of the top ten environmental protection facility open units in 2023. Since the implementation of the "Beautiful China, I am an Actor" Action Plan to Enhance Citizens' Ecological Civilization Awareness (2021-2025) by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Central Civilization Office in 2021, China Water Environment Group has been awarded the Top 10 Environmental Protection Facility Open Units for three consecutive years.

On June 5, 2021, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Central Civilization Office, and the People's Government of Qinghai Province jointly held the National Host Event of the June 5th Environment Day in Xining, announcing the list of the top ten environmental protection facilities open units selected for the Chengdu Tianfu project of China Water Environment Group, which was promoted nationwide by national ministries and commissions. On June 5th, 2022, Environment Day, the Jiading project in Shanghai, as the first demonstration project of a sunken reclaimed water plant in Shanghai, was awarded the title of "Top 10 Environmental Protection Facilities Open Unit in China in 2022" and was hailed as the "Most Beautiful Water Plant in China" and an international exchange window.

As of the end of 2022, the top ten environmental protection facilities open units of the group in Chengdu, Shanghai, and Guiyang have organized more than 2000 batches of open activities, with a total reception of nearly 50000 people. The public participation is high and the results are significant, typical and innovative, fully demonstrating the group's practical actions and achievements in ecological environment protection and building a beautiful China, further enhancing the awareness of ecological civilization in the whole society, and demonstrating the purpose of the activities.

China Water Environment Group innovates the construction and operation of urban infrastructure through its independently developed distributed undergroundreclaimedwater ecosystem. It plans and coordinates the above and below ground spaces, placing all sewage treatment and resource utilization processes underground. The above ground planning and construction of ecological parks integrate party building learning, science education, and leisure and entertainment, solving the problem of integrating urban environmental governance with basic infrastructure for people's livelihood. This system technology has been recommended by five ministries including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as a national infrastructure green new infrastructure upgrade technology.

The Guiyang Qingshan UndergroundReclaimed Water Plant, which was awarded this time, is the first fully submerged reclaimed water plant in Guizhou Province and also one of the first pilot units open to the public in Guizhou Province. The Ground Science Popularization Museum is one of the venues for the Guiyang International Forum on Ecological Civilization, and was listed as a landmark historical building for ecological civilization construction in Guizhou Province in 2020.
