China Report | China Water Environment Group Wins the 2022 Program Collection Award of the United Nations Industrial and Development Organization

On January 16th, the UNESCO Global Call 2022 Global Awards Ceremony was held in Shanghai. China Water Environment Group Technology has won 452 applications from 45 countries and regions across five continents worldwide, providing Chinese solutions to focus on "green and low-carbon technology and net zero goals" with companies such as PepsiCo, Honeywell, China Construction International, and Haier. Zhang Lujing, Vice President of China Water Environment Group, was invited to attend the award ceremony on behalf of the company.

The UNIDO Global Call global program solicitation activity is an important initiative proposed by the United Nations Industrial and Development Organization in the context of the global response to climate change, post pandemic economic reconstruction and green recovery, and the ten-year action plan for sustainable development. It aims to find replicable, scalable, and globally applicable green technologies and solutions worldwide.

Chinese climate change envoy Xie Zhenhua stated in his speech that this year's solicitation activity focuses on green and low-carbon technologies and net zero goals. The selected environmental green and low-carbon technologies will contribute to China's efforts to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality, global implementation of the Paris Agreement goals, and sustainable development.

After multiple rounds of evaluation by the expert group, China Water Environment Group's distributed sinking and regeneration water ecosystem technology has achieved significant results in solution technology innovation, potential contributions to addressing climate change and sustainable environmental development, feasibility of technology practice and promotion, social and economic sustainability, and job creation. It provides strong support for addressing the challenges of post epidemic economic green recovery.
