CEWEEKLY | CWEG has Won the BEYONG Impact Awards for Speeding up Green, Low-carbon Development with Sci-tech Innovation

The second BEYOND International Science and Technology Innovation Expo and Sustainable Development Summit was held in the BEYOND Metaverse from September 21st to 27th, 2022. Appraised by the Macao Association for Science and Technology, the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, and the Planning and Development Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, China Water Environment Group was among the most influential enterprises. Eight companies in total, including Alibaba and Siemens, stood out from 300 enterprises to gain the laurels. In the light of 17 sustainable development goals, this expo was aimed to commend enterprises for speeding up green, low-carbon development with sci-tech Innovation, promoting people’s health, protecting the ecology, and further alleviating poverty. 

BEYOND Expo 2022 was so far the largest international online sci-tech expo held in the form of Metaverse,aiming to show the world how scientific and technological innovation benefits all sectors. The BEYOND Impact Awards were given to technologies with outstanding performance in various industries and with potentiality for development and social influence so as to encourage them to play a bigger role on solving the global issues. As a representative enterprise in sustainable development,China Water Environment Group participated in the exhibition. The Group’s Distributed Underground Reclaimed Water Ecosystem has demonstrated the effectiveness of sustainable development in the field of environmental protection.

We used to collect and discharge wastewater in a centralized way, but our DURWecosystem has changed that. We have greatly reduced the cost of building the plant network, improved the environment, advanced land conservation, and further promoted resource utilization and ecological security. Our technology has covered all the application scenarios of water environment governance and recycling, serving Beijing's sub center, Dali Erhai, Guiyang's Nanming River and other places.Zhang Lujing said. Moreover, the reclaimed water is reused in the water amusement facilities, administrative office areas, and as cooling waters to supply the ecology. The wastewater has become the potential water source of the city, achieving the innovation of water environment governance, and furthering the concept of sustainable development.

Fully embracing the Metaverse, the Expo is headed by the Macao Association for Science and Technology, and co-organized by the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, the Planning and Development Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Center for International Economic and Technological Cooperation Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Foreign Environment Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the China Centre for International Science and Technology Exchange, the Chinese Medical Association, and the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce. More than 35,000 people, 500 exhibitors and 300 medias participated in the conference with over 300 distinguished guests from 120 countries and regions, including leading figures in scientific and technological innovation at home and abroad, well-known experts, entrepreneurs, representatives of international organizations. By the end of this expo, the online views have reached 6 million with 100 million network views in total.
