The Environmental Development Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has selected the Beijing Bishui Project as one of the top ten cases for the transformation of ecological and environmental scientific and technological achievements in 2025

Recently, the fourth meeting of the National Ecological Environment Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Comprehensive Service Platform Council and the Ecological Environment Science and Technology Innovation and Achievement Transformation Exchange Conference were held in Beijing. At the meeting, the "Top Ten Cases of Ecological Environment Technology Achievement Transformation in 2025" were released for the first time, among which the "Green and Low Carbon Technology Application and Engineering Demonstration of Beijing Urban Sub center Bishui Submerged Reclaimed Water Plant" declared by China Water Environment Group was selected.

The Bishui Reclaimed Water Plant, with its core "distributed sunken reclaimed water ecosystem", transforms independently developed innovative achievements into a new type of urban infrastructure that integrates spatial intensification, resource reuse, carbon reduction, and ecological integration. It not only processes 180000 tons of sewage daily in a fully underground manner, freeing up the ground to build an ecological park, but also achieves over 10000 tons of carbon reduction annually through green and low-carbon processes. From a technical solution to a replicable and promotable system solution model, it has successfully been selected as a national typical case, supporting the industrial application of environmental protection technology to support the green and high-quality development of cities.

Wang Zhibin, Director of the Science and Finance Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Xu Yi, Deputy Director of the New Quality Productivity Promotion Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Chen Ming, Director of the Environmental Development Center, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Lu Yuantang, Deputy Director of the Science and Finance Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Yu Junjie, Deputy Director of the Environmental Development Center.

The meeting pointed out that we are currently at a critical intersection between the conclusion of the 14th Five Year Plan and the planning of the 15th Five Year Plan. Technological innovation is the fundamental strategy for building a beautiful China, and the transformation of achievements is a key link.

The conference invited Academician Hou Li'an and Academician Xi Beidou from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as well as Professor Wang Yiming from Peking University, to give keynote speeches on the themes of "Practice of Green and Low Carbon Technology Achievement Transformation", "Organized Scientific Research and Industry University Research Collaborative Innovation", and "Financial Empowerment of Green Technology Achievement Transformation", providing implementation ideas and practical experience for promoting scientific and technological innovation and achievement transformation in the field of ecological environment.

The attending representatives unanimously expressed that they will take this conference as a new starting point, strengthen cooperation, gather strength and move forward together, jointly promote more scientific and technological achievements from the "laboratory" to the "production line", from the "technology library" to the "application field", and accelerate the transformation of the "key variables" of scientific and technological innovation into the "maximum increment" of building a beautiful China.

Representatives from over 100 units including ecological environment departments (bureaus), affiliated units, universities and research institutes, financial institutions, industry associations, and enterprises from some provinces (cities) participated in the conference through a combination of online and offline methods.
