National Science Popularization Month Tongzhou District Branch Venue | Science Popularization Sports Games Successfully Held

On September 9, 2025, the launch ceremony of the National Science Popularization Month Tongzhou District Branch and the Science Popularization Sports Games officially kicked off at Bishuilan Garden.

Under the guidance of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, this event was jointly organized by the Tongzhou District Association for Science and Technology and Beijing Xintong Bishui Reclaimed Water Co., Ltd., and received strong support from units such as the Beijing Ecological Environment Protection Propaganda Center, Tongzhou District Science and Technology Committee, Tongzhou District Ecological Environment Bureau, Tongzhou District Water Affairs Bureau, and Tongzhou District Federation of Trade Unions. Leaders including Song Weiqi, Vice Chairman of Tongzhou District Association for Science and Technology, and Xu Xiaoyun, Deputy Director of Tongzhou District Water Affairs Bureau, attended the event.

The theme of the event is "Technology changes life, innovation wins the future", cleverly integrating science popularization and sports competition. Through rich and diverse interactive experiences, it actively spreads the concepts of technological innovation and green low-carbon development, aiming to further enhance public scientific literacy and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of Beijing's urban sub center.

After the launch ceremony, the Fun Science Popularization Sports Games welcomed seven participating teams, including the Ecological Environment Bureau of Tongzhou District, the Water Affairs Bureau of Tongzhou District, the Luyuan Street Office, the Tongzhou Campus of Beijing Friendship Hospital, the Grand Canal (Beijing) Water Construction Investment Management Co., Ltd., and the representative team of Beijing Bishui Reclaimed Water Plant. They competed in various projects such as science popularization knowledge guessing, low-carbon knowledge garbage disposal, science popularization knowledge bridging the river, and fire extinguisher relay on the same stage.
