Team leader Jia Zhilin, who lives locally, has been steadfastly working on New Year's Eve for three consecutive years in order to reunite colleagueswith familiesfrom other cities. Jia Zhilin said, "Due to the special nature of the position, I often cannot be with my family during holidays. However, in order to ensure the stable operation of the WWTPand meet the water discharge standards, and to provide a clean and comfortable water ecological environment for the surrounding residents, when our work needs us, we are here. My family has also given me great support and understanding, which is my strong backing."

During the Spring Festival, Xiao Chenyu, a laboratory technician who had just started working for six months, suddenly caught a cold while on duty. However, due to the critical period of the second phase debugging of the project, Xiao Chenyu overcame his physical discomfort and, despite the large fluctuations in water quality, increased monitoring frequency and sampling quantity, still carefully analyzed water samples, timely and accurately issued data, providing data support for production and second phase debugging, which well explained that "laboratory analysis is the eye of production".

The Jinhua Bridge Reclaimed WWTPof Hongya Company is located at the foot of Wawu Mountain, with temperatures below zero at night. During the Spring Festival, duty officer Li Jian is not afraid of severe cold and always stays at his post. He inspects every 2 hours to understand the operation of the factory and station, closely monitors the central control data, and timely understands the changes in various data; Strengthen equipment maintenance, upkeep, and repair to prevent equipment from operating with "defects". Especially with the increase of tourists in scenic areas, the concentration of incoming water exceeds the design value, coupled with low temperatures, which has a significant impact on the biochemical end and poses great challenges to existing processes. Li Jian continuously adjusts the operating process using his learned knowledge, adjusts the aeration frequency of the biochemical tank in a timely manner, and increases the proportion of chemical dosage to ensure that the effluent quality meets the standard.

Zigong East Reclaimed WWTPbravely responds to sudden emergencies

On the morning of February 10, 2024, a sudden fire broke out in the bamboo forest opposite the security duty room of the Zigong East Reclaimed WWTPdue to ancestral worship by villagers. The on duty security guard of the plant, Zhong Fangguo, promptly discovered it and reported it to the fire rescue team. He decisively picked up the dry powder fire extinguisher equipped in the factory area and rushed towards the fire scene, spraying the fire source regardless of personal safety. At the same time, he remained at the fire scene and worked hard to control the spread of the fire.

After the heroic firefighting by Zhong Fangguo, each ignition point was effectively extinguished before the firefighters arrived at the scene, causing no casualties and avoiding greater property damage. The group attaches great importance to the safety management and fire training of water plants, and its employees have excellent emergency response capabilities, playing an important role in critical moments.

At around 21:30 on February 13, 2024, an unidentified object drifted from the sky and fell into the bamboo forest behind the Fushun factory area, starting to burn. The situation was urgent, and duty personnel Cai Yiqiang and Huang Tao immediately rushed to inspect and aimed fire extinguishers at the ignition point for spraying, so that the fire was quickly controlled and extinguished without causing any damage. The leadership team of Fushun District further strengthens safety inspections during the Spring Festival night, ensuring that the water quality meets the discharge standards during the holiday period, while also ensuring the safety of the factory and surrounding areas without accidents.

During the Spring Festival holiday, the mechanical maintenance team in Rongxian area gave up rest and rushed to the front line of work to deal with equipment failures in the face of sudden abnormal situations such as fans and mixers, ensuring the normal operation of production in Rongxian area during the holiday period and stable discharge of water up to standard.

On the evening of February 9, 2024, the motor of the Longtan blower in the Gongjing area was burnt out due to current overload. If not handled in a timely manner, it may cause excessive ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen in the effluent. The on duty personnel shall report and handle it as soon as possible. Upon learning of the situation, the head of the maintenance team, Wang Yu, quickly led mechanic Xie Chun to the scene. After 10 hours of emergency repair, the equipment resumed normal operation, ensuring stable and standard water output during the holiday period.

During the Spring Festival, the operation of the Hanjia Village Reclaimed WWTPin Qingdao remained orderly, with staff in the central control room guarding their posts 24 hours a day, the water sample laboratory conducting orderly testing, and the various ponds in the factory area conducting uninterrupted inspections. Cadres and staff have built the last line of safety for urban sewage treatment, contributing their efforts to fully protect the water environment in Qingdao.

At 8 o'clock in the morning on New Year's Eve, Ji Chunming, who was in charge of duty work, had already started a day of operational inspections. He walked briskly in the park, carefully checking the water conditions at every location, and detailed recording the changes in relevant values by scanning the "Smart Water Management" app. And such inspections need to be conducted every 2 hours. Every time a patrol is completed, it takes several kilometers to walk and over an hour.

In order to fully ensure the stable operation of wastewatertreatment in the whole city, Qingdao Hanjia Village Reclaimed WWTPhas made a thorough plan in advance and conducted a complete set of safety inspections before the holiday, including inspections of various process sections, facilities, and equipment, to thoroughly solve problems and ensure the normal operation of the wastewater treatment plant during the holiday period; We have formulated emergency plans for water quality abnormalities, safety operating procedures and emergency measures for equipment and facilities, environmental emergency plans, etc., and have made emergency plans for responding to unexpected situations practical and detailed.
