2023 CIFIT | China Water Environment Shined as an Exemplar of UNIDO''s Smart Circular Economy
2023-09-11From September 8 to 11, the 23rdChina International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) took place in Xiamen, Fujian. On the morning of September 8, Wang Yong, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), serving as a co-organizer of CIFIT, presented state-of-the-art projects highlighting global digitalization and green transformation at the exhibition. China Water Environment was also featured as a prime example of UNIDO's smart circular economy.

The China Water Environment's innovative Distributed Underground Reclaimed Water Ecosystem, a core technology system, secured a spot in UNIDO Global Call 2022's initiative aims at identifying “green and innovative technology solutions towards Net-Zero”. This eco-friendly technology system treats sewage as a stable secondary water source for cities and facilitates scientific collection, treatment and resource utilization, thus contributing to green energy transformation and the development of a circular economy.
