Zhao Yide, Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee, conducted an inspection at the Ankang Jiangnan Reclaimed Water Plant of the Group, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to advance water resource recycling and enhance water ecology
2023-07-05From July 3 to 4, 2023, Zhao Yide, Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee, investigated ecological environment protection, urban-rural integration development and flood control in Ankang. On the afternoon of July 3, Zhao Yide led the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and other departments to the Ankang Company's Jiangnan Reclaimed Water Plant of the China Water Environment Group to investigate the water quality protection of Hanjiang River. Wu Wengang, Ankang's Party Committee Secretary, and Wang Hao, mayor of Ankang, joined in during the visit.
Ankang, Shaanxi is located in the hinterland of Qinling and Dabashan Area, where many rivers flow past, providing abundant water resources. It is the area with the highest river network density in Shaanxi Province and the core water conservation area of the Middle Route of South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Project and the Han-to-Wei Water Diversion Project. Zhao Yide visited the Jiangnan Reclaimed Water Plant and walked into the Water EnvironmentalScience Museum, the Central Control Station, checking the effluent quality of inlet and effluent at the sampling point. He also investigated the sewage treatment capacity and listened to the technical introduction of water culture and distributed sunken reclaimed water ecosystem. He stressed the importance of enhancing the protection of water sources in the Middle Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project so as to advance water resource recycling and consistently improve the water ecology. Emphasizing the need to maintain high standards in safeguarding the water quality of the Hanjiang River, he highlighted the overarching objective of ensuring a perpetual supply of clean water to the northern regions.

Water circulation treatment is of great significance for controlling water pollution, protecting the water environment and ensuring water security of the Middle Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Project. Jiangnan Reclaimed Water Plant was put into operation in October 2019 with a construction scale of 80,000 m³ per day. The project adopts the distributed sunken reclaimed water ecosystem technology of the China Water Environment Group and utilizes the treated sewage as a resource. The effluent meets the Class IV standards of surface water.

The Water Environmental ScienceMuseum was built on the ground by Ankang Jiangnan Reclaimed Water Plant, which was also the first public nonprofit science discovery hall with the theme of "water" in Shaanxi Province. It successfully ensured comprehensive and three-dimensional utilization of the space, effectively solving the "Not-In-My-Backyard" problem faced by traditional sewage plants. It provided the public with water knowledge, and profoundly instilled the concepts of water pollution prevention and water environment protection in people's minds. This year, the factory received the "Open Unit with Excellent Environmental Facilities in Shaanxi Province" award for the second time. Additionally, it has been honored as the "Provincial Open Unit with Excellent Environmental Facilities" for two consecutive years.
