Fontline Splendor | Ankang Jiangnan Reclaimed Water Plant by the Group has once again been honored as a "Shaanxi Excellent Environmental Facilities Open Unit"

On June 3, the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment publicized the shortlist for the publicity activities for selecting the advanced models of "Shaanxi Provincial Action Plan to Enhance Citizens' Awareness of the Ecology and Civilization Across-the-Round" in 2023. Ankang Jiangnan Reclaimed Water Plant of China Water Environment Group thus claimed the honor of "Shaanxi Excellent Environmental Facilities Open Unit". The plant has claimed the honor of the "Environmental Facilities Open Unit" awarded by the province for two consecutive years.

The Ankang Project of China Water Environment Group started construction in August 2018 and was put into operation in October 2019, reaching a construction efficiency of 80,000 m³/day. The project adopts the distributed sunken reclaimed water ecosystem of the Group, and the water output met the Class IV standard for surface water.

As one of the achievements of the ecological conservation of Ankang, the Ankang Jiangnan Reclaimed Water Plant was of great significance to the quality of the water environment in Ankang and the quality of its urban living environment, ensuring stable water quality of Hanjiang River. It managed to make great contributions to the "ecological well-being of Qinling and Dabashan Area" as well as to the "clear water in the river to be transferred to Beijing".

The Water Environment Museum was built on the ground by Ankang Jiangnan Reclaimed Water Plant, which was also the first public nonprofit science discovery hall with the theme of "water" in Shaanxi Province. It successfully ensured comprehensive and three-dimensional utilization of the space, effectively solving the "Not-In-My-Backyard" problem faced by traditional sewage plants. It provided the public with water knowledge, and profoundly instilled the concepts of water pollution prevention and water environment protection in people's minds.

Ankang Water Environment Museum

Since its completion, the Museum has stuck to the values of green, low-carbon life and environmental protection, actively spreading the concepts of water saving, water-loving, and water conservation. It has also organized public activities all year round, which were well received by many parties. In December 2019, Ankang Jiangnan Reclaimed Water Plant was selected for the third batch of national environmental facilities open units. In June 2022, it was rated as the "Excellent Environmental Facilities Open Unit" in Shaanxi Province. In November 2022, it was selected as an advanced unit for energy conservation and emission reduction in Shaanxi Province during the 13thFive-Year Plan. In December, it was selected as the 2022 Ecological Environmental Protection Demonstration Project. In May 2023, it was selected as one of the top ten project cases for inviting public participation to protect the ecological environment in Ankang.
