China Water Environment Group was invited to attend the global launch ceremony of UNIDO Global Call 2023

On the afternoon of June 12b local time, the "UNIDO Global Call 2023" global program collection event initiated by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization held a global launch ceremony at the headquarters of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Vienna. The UNIDO Headquarters, the global ITPO networks, Permanent Mission of People's Republic of China to the United Nations in Vienna, Missions of other countries to UNIDO, and Beijing and Shenzhen Municipal Governments, etc. all attended the meeting. China Water Environment Group, as the only representative of enterprises in this global launch ceremony, gave a keynote speech on the occasion.

The launch ceremony was presided over by Gong Weixi, Director of the Global Investment and Technology Promotion Office and the Institute Partnership Division of the UNIDO. Dr. Gerd Müller, Director-General of UNIDO, gave a welcome video speech. He said that amid the challenges brought by climate change, the "affordable clean energy" proposed by Sustainable Development Goal 7 was very important to the shared future of mankind, and that "we need to realize green energy transformation by virtue of innovation, digital and technological opportunities on a global scale".

Kai Bethke, Director of Member State of UNIDO and the Financial Relations Division of UNIDO, spoke on behalf of Ms. Fatou Haidara, Deputy Director-General and Director-General of the Global Partnerships and External Relations Division. He said that UNIDO's global ITPO networks actively cooperated with diplomatic missions, private sectors, and various stakeholders to promote large-scale intelligent and sustainable development and solutions for clean energy through activities such as Global Call, helping accelerate energy transformation worldwide. Rolf Steltemeir, Director of ITPO Germany, shared the experience and main achievements of the Global Call 2022 global program collection event.

Hou Feng, President of the China Water Environment Group, gave a keynote speech with the title of "Clean, Green and Sustainable Distributed Sunken Reclaimed Water Ecosystem". He said that the distributed sunken reclaimed water ecosystem technology independently developed by the Group effectively integrated factories, networks, rivers, and lakes, and organically combined environmental governance with urban secondary water resources, green energy, and land resources. He also expressed that the technology constructed four major supply centers of public service products with distributed water resources, green energy, digital management, and efficient use of above-ground and underground spaces. It was hoped that we could rely on this systemic technology to boost green, low-carbon and sustainable development in the world.

As the flagship initiative in the global competition organized by UNIDO, the "UNIDO Global Call" prioritizes clean and intelligent energy, alongside fostering inclusive and sustainable industrial development. This initiative aims to identify technical solutions in areas like clean energy and energy efficiency optimization, with a focus on innovations such as green hydrogen that can be replicated and promoted on a global scale. Since its launch in 2020, it has attracted more than 2,000 participants from 108 countries to contribute intelligent solutions, and has won the "United Nations Innovation Award".

Gong Weixi, Director of the Global Investment and Technology Promotion Office and Institute Partnerships Division of UNIDO gave warm congratulations to the China Water Environment Group on winning the last global program collection award. He believed that the green energy transformation still encountered many challenges and that the distributed sunken reclaimed water ecosystem would have very important significance for the development of green energy in the world. He also wished for the joint promotion of this technology system to provide Chinese solutions for green and low-carbon sustainable development in the world.
