Celebrating News | The Intelligent Management and Control System for the Nanming River in Guiyang has been granted a license, earning recognition as a "Exemplary Case of Intelligent Water Affairs."

On June 13, 2023, the first Intelligent Water Innovation and Development Forum organized by the Technology and Industrialization Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development was held in Fuzhou. The intelligent management and control platform for the sewage treatment system of the Nanming River in Guiyang, developed by the China Water Environment Group, has been selected as an exemplary case for intelligent water affairs by the Science and Technology Center. It was conferred with a license and certificate during the forum.

Receiving the license as an exemplary case for intelligent water affairs

Xing Haifeng, Primary Inspector of the Urban Construction Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Huang Haiqun, Deputy Director of the Technology and Industrialization Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development delivered speeches at the forum. Hou Li'an and Ma Jun, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Geng Jinju, president of the Institute of Ecological Environment, Nanjing University, gave keynote speeches at the forum.

The intelligent management and control platform for the sewage treatment system in the Nanming River Basin of Guiyang has been recognized and included in the list. This achievement not only establishes a replicable and scalable model but also provides a noteworthy reference for the comprehensive treatment of water environments. Currently, it is featured in the inaugural Collection of Exemplary Cases for Intelligent Water Management, officially launched during this forum.

The comprehensive river basin management project of the Group in Nanming River in Guiyang adopted the distributed sunken reclaimed water ecosystem of the Group, which successfully applied the innovative urban-scale system technology for the first time in the world, and became the genuine practice that integrated the plants, networks, rivers and lakes. Comprehensive treatment of the Nanming River in Guiyang was rated as an international case of green basin construction along with the practices in the Seine River in France, the Cheonggyecheon Stream in South Korea, and the River Thames in Britain, etc.

Nanming River in Guiyang has a wide basin, complicated geological conditions, and a weak collaborative foundation of water treatment facilities within the basin, which makes it extremely difficult to coordinate its daily operation, deployment, and control. Upon the implementation of the intelligent management and control platform, it has ensured intelligent coordination for the water-related tasks within the Nanming River Basin. This achievement manifests in the integrated and comprehensive management and control, linking the plant, network, rivers, and lakes. Additionally, it encompasses the meticulous management of water treatment facilities in the basin and the overall coordination and deployment of reclaimed water plants. This, in turn, offers intelligent solutions for various government departments, establishing itself as a crucial component in the ecological protection and the long-term, stable conservation efforts within the Nanming River Basin.
