Great News | CWEG’s Technology System Was Selected as the Global Green Technology Solution of UNIDO

The UNIDO Global Call 2022 awards ceremony was held in Shanghai on January 16, 2023. 452 applications from 45 countries and regions around the world were received, among which China Water Environment Group, PepsiCo, Honeywell, CSCEC International and Haier has stood out for promoting green low-carbon technologies and net zero goals. Zhang Lujing, Vice President of CWEG, accepted the prize on behalf of the CWEG.

Led by UNIDO, the UNIDO Global Call is a flagship initiative against the backdrop of climate change, post-epidemic economic reconstruction and green recovery, as well as UN's Decade of Action for Sustainable Development, aiming to look for global green technologies and solutions that are replicable, scalable, and globally applicable.

Xie Zhenhua, Chinese spokesperson for climate change affairs, said this global call is very meaningful for focusing on green and low-carbon technologies and net zero goals. He expects technologies selected could make their contribution to emission peak, carbon neutrality, global implementation of the Paris Agreement, and the world's sustainable development.
