CWEG''s Research Result Selected as the Cover Article of “FESE”
2022-04-12A new low-carbon route and technology system for wastewater treatmentis urgently needed in China, wheremunicipal wastewater treatmentplantsgenerally have a large footprint, high energy andchemicals consumption problems. Cooperative innovation betweenindustry, academia and research under the national water special projectled to the development of HBR(Hybrid Bio-Reactor) process byCWEG R&D team. This process uses the advantages of biomass retention and long sludge age of the biofilm process to achieveland-saving, energy-saving andwater quality improvement andcomplete the enrichment of anaerobic ammonia oxidizing bacteria and deep denitrification. Above all, it iscriticalto promote the green and low-carbon development of China's wastewater treatment industry.
The research result waspublished in the third issue ofFrontiers in Environmental Science and Engineering(FESE Journal) 2022, and also selected as the cover article (https://journal.hep.com.cn/fese/EN/current). FESE: China Water Environment Group R&D team: Partial anammox achieved in full scale biofilmprocess for typical domestic wastewater treatment

At present, we are the first in the industry for major national demonstration projects and have served 22 provinces in comprehensive water environment management, becoming the practitioner of "writing thesis on the motherland", actively promoting innovation-driven industry and continuously contributing to high-quality development.
