CWEG Holds Young Experts Committee Smart Water Seminar

On December 27, 2021, the China Water Environment Group (CWEG) celebrated its Third Smart Water Seminar and the inauguration ceremony of Young Experts Committee in Xinhua Media Creative Workshop.

CWEG has always pursued the strategy of sci-tech innovation, actively gathered young experts and provided opportunities for them to tap into their talents. That’s why the Group established the Young Experts Committee while holding the Smart Water Seminar.

Seven guests from the Young Experts Committee and China Water Environment Group presented wonderful keynote speeches and shared their insights around industry hot issues such as cutting-edge technology of wastewater treatment, carbon reduction and conversion of scientific and technological achievements.

Qiu Xiaomin (left), Deputy Director of Xinhua News Center, and Hu Hongying (right), Professor of School of Environment, Tsinghua University, made comments on speeches of the speakers.

CWEG Chairman Dr. Hou Feng made a concluding speech and awarded appointment letters to the Young Experts Committee. Dr. Hou pointed out that China’s annual sewage discharge has reached 75 billion cubic meters. It requires continuous efforts to seek scientific and technological innovation so we can turn sewage into useful water resources and green energy, and establish a carbon energy integration system. We should work together to build a world-class brand for water environment management and contribute China’s water management model to the world.
