CWEG Invited to Attend the National Conference for Promoting Urban Black and Smelly Water Body Treatment & Sponge City Construction
2016-05-26 As a leading investor and operator in comprehensive water environment management, and the frontrunner in China’s water environment industry, CWEG was invited to attend the National Conference for Promoting Urban Black and Smelly Water Body Treatment & Sponge City Construction held on May 25. At the meeting, on behalf of the five invited enterprises, CWEG Vice President Li Feng delivered a keynote speech.
The conference was organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD) and hosted by Zhang Xiaohong, Director of the Urban Construction Department of the MOHURD. Ni Hong, MOHURD Vice Minister, and Zhang Jianfei, Vice Governor of Hunan, attended the conference and gave important speeches. Participants also included the heads of the departments of housing and urban-rural development of various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, leaders of some municipal people""s governments, and representatives from relevant financial institutions and invited enterprises.
Taking the Nanming River Water Environment Management PPP Project as an example, CWEG Vice President Li Feng analyzed in detail the project’s flow process and technical scheme, and shared his understanding of PPP model. Hailed as one of the first national demonstration projects of the Ministry of Finance, the project sets a good example in the treatment of urban black and smelly water bodies, owing to CWEG’s efforts in maximizing the PPP model’s Value for Money and “doing more with less” to benefit both the society and the people.
