CWEG Invited to the “PPP in China” Conference 2016 and Gave a Speech

   The “PPP in China” Conference 2016 was hosted by the China PPP Center under the Ministry of Finance and organized by the Hunan Provincial Department of Finance in Huatian Hotel Changsha on June 7, 2016. Dong Deigang, Deputy Director of the Finance Department of the Ministry of Finance, Chen Xiangqun, Vice Governor of Hunan Province, Jiao Xiaoping, Deputy Director of the China PPP Center, and other government leaders attended the conference and delivered important speeches. Participants also included the heads of the departments of finance of various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, representatives of relevant financial institutions and invited enterprises. CWEG was invited to share its PPP practices and challenges as a representative of the private sector. 
       At the conference, CWEG Vice President Li Guoshan introduced CWEG’s water environment management PPP demonstration projects implemented in Guiyang and Dali in detail, and shared CWEG’s deep understanding of the PPP model. According to Li, relying on the superiority of the “CITIC PPP Combo”, CWEG funded the PPP projects through innovatively raising money from both Chinese and foreign commercial and investment banks. In addition to sufficient financing, the implementation of a PPP project also entails the support of a leading technology R&D team, which leaves professional fields to experts and maximizes the Value for Money. Li’s speech was highly recognized by all the participants.
