CWEG Invited to Water Expo China 2016
2016-11-16 The Water Expo China 2016 is the most influential event in the industry of water environment, held from 15th November to 17th November 2016 at the Beijing China International Exhibition Center (CIEC) in Beijing, China. CWEG attended the event as one of the major exhibitors.
The Water Expo China is jointly held by the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society (CHES) and Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co. Limited under the approval of China’s Ministry of Commerce. As a platform designed to connect enterprises with the governments, industry associations, research institutions and buyers, the expo helps enterprises showcase brand image and the latest achievements, enabling them to be more market-informed, explore potential customers and maximize enterprise value.

The Water Expo China 2016 was held in Beijing, capital of China, and supported by 60 authoritative industry associations and 40 user industry associations at home and abroad. Covering a total area of 20,000 m2, the expo attracted 500 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions, involving the fields of water supply, water conservancy, water ecology and environment, water and wastewater treatment, sewer pipe network, pump valve and accessories, instrument and apparatus, and informatization and automation. 35,000 professionals from 42 countries and regions, including end users and those from national municipal design institutes, engineering companies, wastewater treatment plants and water companies, took part in the expo. By showcasing the newest products and technologies of domestic and international exhibitors, the expo aims to help the water-demanding construction fields find the best solution to meet their urgent needs. During the expo, 55 forums and conferences will be held, with domestic academicians and experts as main speakers.
At the expo, CWEG""s projects and advanced technologies interested many professionals and experts from all walks of life. Many exhibitors communicated and exchanged business cards with CWEG staff, indicating their intention for further cooperation.

Zhang Jianyun, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, foreign academician of Royal Academy of Engineering in the U.K., and president of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, attended the expo and communicated with CWEG staff. In recent years, Zhang has presided over the R&D work for several projects, including the “11th Five-Year Plan” National Science and Technology Supporting Plan Project - “Key Technology for Ensuring the Safety of Dam”, and a major water conservation research project entitled “Impacts of Climate Change on China""s Water Security and Climate Change Adaptation”, and has thus gained deep insights into water environment. After listening to the introduction of CWEG’s projects carefully, he raised some professional questions and then had discussions with CWEG staff.
