CWEG Successfully Held its Annual Meeting 2016 in Chengdu of Sichuan Province

      On Dec. 17, 2016, the CWEG Annual Meeting 2016 attended by CWEG Chairman Hou Feng and all executives of CWEG opened in Chengdu. CITIC Private Equity Funds Management Co., Ltd (CITICPE) leaders including Managing Director Zhai Feng, experts from the School of Environmental Science and Engineering (ESE) at Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) including Professor Kong Hainan, and leaders from CWEG’s partner organizations, including Shanghai Jiading Chenfa Group Chairman Zhang Yaoguang, Shandong Fokun Investment Co., Ltd. Chairman Kang Bin, Liu Haichen, general manager at a joint venture of Chengdu Tiantou Industial Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Jiading Nanxiang WWTP Co., Ltd. Deputy General Manager Chen Qiang, were invited to attend. CWEG Beijing HQ and its Divisions in Shanghai, Guiyang, Dali, Guang’an, and Zhuji, etc. participated in the meeting via synchronous live streaming.

  CWEG Vice President Chen Ming made the 2016 Annual Report on behalf of the Executive Committee and arranged the work for 2017. Looking back at 2016, CWEG has achieved encouraging results and accumulated abundant experience. On the basis of strengthening its existing business, CWEG grew briskly in 2016 and won eight new projects, with WWTP capacity up by 28.8% or 907,000 t/d, and water supply plant capacity up by 198,000 t/d. In the Report, Chen Ming analyzed the deficiencies in the work of 2016 and organized the key tasks for 2017 systematically. He said, “2017 marks the first year of CWEG’s second ‘three-year leapfrog development’plan. Under the guidance of development strategy, CWEG will innovate business model, advance technology R&D, improve management efficiency, and differentiate competitive edge, to ensure its innovative and steady development towards a world-leading provider of water environment management services.”

   On behalf of the partner organizations, Zhang Yaoguang, Chairman of Shanghai Jiading Chenfa Group, and Hideo Cho, General Manager at Nishihara Environment Engineering (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., respectively shared the experience of successful and win-win cooperation between their companies and CWEG from various perspectives. According to them, it is with the PPP model (leaving professional fields to experts) that the projects jointly carried out by CWEG and their companies have progressed smoothly and achieved satisfactory results, thus ensuring Value for Money.
   CWEG Chairman Hou Feng made a remark on CWEG’s work done in 2016, and then, through an in-depth analysis of the industry trends, raised clear requirements on CWEG’s future development and major strategies of 2017, urging all the staff to closely follow these strategies in their future work. Hou attributed CWEG’s achievements in 2016 to the excellent platform, management idea, corporate culture, work mechanism and full trust that CITICPE has bestowed on it, and the strong support from its partners, which gives impetus to CWEG’s brisk growth. In the future, CWEG will continuously attach great importance to innovation, foster an entrepreneurial culture like“treading on thin ice”, and actively advance each and every project with the aim of providing premium services, thus securing a win-win situation for its partners, and developing itself into an evergreen enterprise.

He also shared with attendees CITICPE’s excellent enterprise culture and management philosophy in terms of strategy, innovation, management and team, etc.

He also put forward his suggestions and expectations on CWEG’s future work in 2017. “CWEG has created sustainable ecological value for the society on its way forward, and has now become a leading enterprise with core competitiveness in strategic planning, model innovation and team building through three years of development. It has accumulated a wealth of successful experience and formulated a long-term business plan. We all have high expectations about the future of CWEG,” Zhai said.
   The meeting also honored employees who have made outstanding contributions to CWEG over the course of 2016. Some Excellent Employees shared their work experience and methods, and felt encouraged and motivated by the recognition and reward that CWEG gave to them. Taking this meeting as a new starting point, CWEG will brave all the obstacles and challenges that come on its way to becoming a professional and excellent evergreen enterprise, and fulfill its glorious mission as the frontrunner in China’s water environment industry!
