A Delegation Led by Jiao Xiaoping, Party Secretary and Director of the China PPP Center of the Ministry of Finance, Inspected the Guang’an “Clean Water Action” Regional Water Environment Management Project
2017-02-15 On Feb. 15, 2017, a delegation led by Jiao Xiaoping, Party Secretary and Director of the China PPP Center of the Ministry of Finance, paid a visit to Guang’an of Sichuan Province for investigating the implementation of PPP model. The delegation, accompanied by leaders from the Sichuan Provincial PPP Center and the Guang’an Municipal Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development, and representatives of news media including China Economic Weekly, also inspected the Guang’an “Clean Water Action” Regional Water Environment Management PPP Project invested and constructed by CWEG. CWEG Chairman Hou Feng, Sichuan Division General Manager Wang Donger and Guang’an Division General Manager Dai Jian respectively reported to the delegation on project progress.

The delegation visited several urban and rural WWTPs in Guang’an, including the Guang’an Second WWTP and the Chongwang Township WWTP. Leaders from the Guang’an Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau and CWEG introduced the progress and achievements of the Guang’an “Clean Water Action” Regional Water Environment Management PPP Project.

Jiao Xiaoping gave credit to the Guang’an Second WWTP for its design capacity, treatment process, operation status and clear effluent. As an important part of the Guang’an “Clean Water Action” Regional Water Environment Management PPP Project, the Guang’an Second WWTP has realized the recycling of water resources in a fundamental way. It sets a good example for similar projects, playing a crucial role in improving the ecological environment of Guang’an.
