CWEG Shared the Successful Experience of “Guang’an Mode”

    The Annual Meeting of the Sichuan Provincial Water Supply and Drainage Association was convened in Guang’an on March 16, 2017, attracting over 200 attendees, including enterprise representatives, and leaders and experts from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-rural Development, Sichuan Provincial Commission of Development and Reform, and Sichuan Provincial Water Supply and Drainage Association. Shortly before this, at the Sichuan Urban-Rural wastewater and Waste Treatment On-site Meeting, Yang Hongbo, Vice Governor of Sichuan, had given full recognition to the Guang’an “Clean Water Action” Regional Water Environment Management PPP Project implemented by CWEG for its remarkable achievements made, calling on other parts of Sichuan to learn from the “Guang’an Mode”and go all out to fight against the “Three Main Pollution Prevention and Control Campaigns”. In a quick response to Yang’s instructions, the Annual Meeting aims to comprehensively promote WWTP upgrading and capacity expansion, and start rapidly a bunch of urban-rural wastewater and waste treatment infrastructure construction projects.
  At the meeting, the Guang’an Municipal Department of Housing and Urban-rural Development and CWEG respectively shared with attendees the successful experience and practices of Guang’an in the integrated implementation, optimization, operation and management of projects for urban wastewater treatment, resourceful utilization, rural wastewater treatment, and river/lake/reservoir/water body remediation, as well as new technologies for WWTP upgrading and related successful cases.     Attendees highly commended the Guang’an WWTP as Sichuan’s first underground WWTP invested, constructed and operated by CWEG, and said that the innovative concept and leading technology offered by CWEG will surely help Sichuan make encouraging breakthroughs in WWTP upgrading and capacity expansion.
