Huang Runqiu, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Inspected CWEG’s Bishui Project
2017-04-09 On April 7, 2017, a 25-person delegation led by Huang Runqiu, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, paid a visit to CWEG’s Beijing Bishui Underground WWTP (hereinafter referred to as the“Bishui Project”) that is undergoing an upgrade, and investigated the major 13th Five-Year scientific research project entitled “Innovation of Underground WWTP Construction and Demonstration of Ecological Complex” - the subject of the National Water Pollution Control and Treatment Science and Technology Major Project, known as “water special”. Zhao Genwu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, Zhang Libin, Head of Tongzhou District, and experts from Tsinghua University, participated in the investigation. CWEG Vice President Shao Yanqing, Beijing HQ General Manager Li Tao and Beijing Technology R&D Center Deputy General Manager Pang Hongtao, introduced the progress of the Bishui Project and the scientific research project.
Vice Minister Huang Runqiu spoke highly of the Bishui Project located in Beijing’s sub-center Tongzhou for its overall planning, underground structure, advanced technology and innovative concept. He urged CWEG to apply forward-looking technologies to water environment management projects on the basis of the scientific research project, and beef up the industrialization of innovative technologies to drive China’s wastewater treatment industry towards sustainable development.
Jin Shudong, Head of the Beijing Municipal Water Authority, Wang Yanshi, Deputy Head of Tongzhou District, Fang Yajun, Director of the Tongzhou District Water Authority, Pei Zhigang, Director at the Tongzhou District Environmental Protection Bureau, and Ji Xiaoguang, Deputy Director of the Tongzhou District Water Authority, accompanied the delegation during the investigation.
