CWEG’s Qiangshan Underground WWTP Hailed as the “2017 Key Practical Technology and Demonstration Project of Environmental Protection”
2017-12-04 On Dec. 4, 2017, the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry unveiled the list of “2017 Key Practical Technology and Demonstration Project of Environmental Protection”. CWEG’s“Guiyang Qingshan WWTP & Underground wastewater Treatment and Recycling Project” was included in the list as one of the 47 national demonstration projects, setting a good benchmark and example for the industry.
With the advantages of “land intensiveness, ecological friendliness and effective reuse of reclaimed water”, the Qingshan Underground WWTP was highly recognized by the expert group who had performed an on-site inspection on it, for its core technology, high-quality design and construction, effluent discharge compliance, and delivery of economic, environmental and social benefits. The expert group said that the Qingshan Underground WWTP should be widely promoted as an example.
The project also builds the Guiyang Water Environment Science Museum themed “Ensuring Water Safety, Protecting Water Environment, Displaying Water Science and Technology, Inheriting Water Culture, Developing Water Economy” for publicizing the water environment protection of Guiyang’s Mother River Nanming River. The Guiyang Water Environment Science Museum, together with the underground WWTP and the ecological flowing water landscape park, will become a precious “water business symbol” of Guiyang as an ecological civilization demonstration city.
The fact that the project gets approved will further establish CWEG""s leading position in the field of water environment management, playing an active role in guiding CWEG to promote ecological civilization construction.
It is known that through over 20 years of development, the honor of “Key Practical Technology and Demonstration Project of Environmental Protection” has become the most influential technology facilitator in the environmental protection industry. In successfully approved, the projects will be recommended by the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Ministry of Science and Technology, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other government departments, playing a positive role in further promoting the application and demonstration effect of project technology.
