Yang Jian, Governor of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Investigated the Dali Erhai wastewater Interception PPP Project of CWEG
2018-04-19 On April 19, 2018, a delegation led by Yang Jian, Governor of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, investigated the Wase Underground WWTP, Shuanglang Underground WWTP, Shangguan Underground WWTP and Gucheng Underground WWTP as part of the Dali Erhai wastewater Interception PPP Project. CWEG Dali Division General Manager Meng Jianwei briefed the delegation about the project progress, construction progress, and trail operation of these four WWTPs, etc. Leaders including Du Shugan, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Dali Municipal Committee and Acting Mayor of Dali, and Li Jincan, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Dali Municipal Committee, accompanied the delegation on the investigation.
The delegation successively visited the four WWTPs, where they asked carefully about facility installation, wastewater collection and treatment, and WWTP trail operation, etc. In response to current challenges encountered by the project, Governor Yang Jian proposed corresponding solutions at the site.
Yang Jian acknowledged the efforts and achievements made by CWEG in the “Seven Major Actions for the Protection and Management of the Erhai Lake” and the “100-day Battle on wastewater Interception of the Erhai Lake watershed”. Since the project has explicit tasks and time is very tight, all parties concerned should accelerate the construction and make sure project objectives are fulfilled in an efficient way. Problems found in those WWTPs during trial operation should be addressed promptly, and all the facilities should be put into use by the end of June, so as to bring the project’s functions into play as soon as possible.
