Yin Li, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of Sichuan, Inspected the Guang’an Underground WWTP

      On May 19, 2018, Yin Li, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of Sichuan, and Tang Limim, Secretary-General of the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, along with leaders from the Research Office and the General Office of the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, inspected the Guang’an Underground WWTP as part of a Ministry of Finance PPP demonstration project implemented by CWEG. The inspection team visited the Guang’an Underground WWTP’s intelligent management center, learned about the real-time wastewater treatment process monitoring in detail, and carefully checked the water quality at the inlet and outlet. They spoke highly of the Guang’an Underground WWTP for its superiority in “eco-friendliness, land intensiveness and resource utilization”, which created both economic and social benefits.

    At the WWTP, Yin Li asked about technical issues like wastewater treatment process, harmless sludge treatment and intelligent WWTP construction, and learned about CWEG’s PPP projects deployed and implemented in China, especially in Sichuan. CWEG acts as the private party in these PPP projects. Thanks to advanced technology and stable operation, the WWTP created both significant treatment effect and sensory effect. 

      Yin Li stressed that environmental pollution control still remains a chronic and major problem in Sichuan as a “Province of Rivers”. He hoped that CWEG can give full play to its technical expertise to actively participate in the battle of water environment management together with the government and people, so as to create a more beautiful Sichuan.
