The 2018 Plenary Meeting of CWEG Expert Committee Successfully Kicked off
2018-09-08 On September 8, 2018, the 2018 Plenary Meeting of CWEG Expert Committee was held in Beijing, inviting 12 expert committee members, including Peng Yongzhen, Chief Professor in Environmental Science and Engineering at Beijing University of Technology, Chen Hesheng, former Deputy Director of the Taihu watershed Authority of the Ministry of Water Resources and Professor-level Senior Engineer, Wang Hongchen, Deputy Dean of School of Environment and Natural Resources, Renmin University of China. CWEG Chairman & President Hou Feng, together with CWEG Vice Presidents Shao Yanqing, Fang Yong and Li Feng, as well as heads of various departments, attended the meeting.
Hou Feng expressed his appreciation to all the experts for their support and contributions to the group. Since its establishment, the expert committee has been professional and highly responsible in putting forward valuable pinions and suggestions to support the group’s scientific decision-making. Thanks to its guidance, CWEG has evolved into the leading investor, operator and frontrunner in China for comprehensive water environment management. At the meeting, Hou Feng offered the letters of appointment to the 12 experts, hoping that the expert committee can continue to play its role as a high-end think tank to jointly promote the group""s technological innovation and industrial development.
Then both sides discussed and analyzed the status quo and prospect of China’s water environment industry, and explored how to deepen industry-education-research cooperation with high-level scientific research institutions. After the meeting, expert committee members also visited CWEG’s Beijing Tongzhou Bishui Underground WWTP and Beijing Technology R&D base.
