CWEG and China Three Gorges Corporation Signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement
2018-10-18 On Oct. 17, CWEG and China Three Gorges Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “CTG”) signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on joint protection of the Yangtze River. CTG Chairman Lei Mingshan, who is also the Secretary of the Leading Party Members"" Group of CTG, along with Wang Lin, CTG General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members"" Group of CTG, CTG Deputy General Manager Sun Zhiyu, Yangtze River Protection Leading Group Deputy Head Sha Xianhua, CITICPE Chairman Liu Lefei, CWEG Chairman Hou Feng, and CWEG Vice Presidents Chen Ming, Shao Yanqing, and Fang Yong attended the signing ceremony.
The purpose of this Agreement, signed by CWEG Chairman Hou Feng and CTG Deputy General Manager Sun Zhiyu on behalf of their companies, was to deepen both sides’ cooperation in the protection of Yangtze River.

Prior to the signing ceremony, CTG, CITICPE and CWEG respectively introduced their business.
CTG is the world’s largest hydropower development and operation company, and China’s largest clean energy group. It is also a platform for the implementation of the Yangtze River Protection Project, and has made remarkable achievements in the process of reform and opening-up.
The addressor said in the current context that high-quality green development is a focus of China, the protection of the Yangtze River, a great cause for the benefit of the Chinese nation, needs the professional strength of CWEG. The addressor hoped that CWEG may join the Yangtze River Ecological and Environmental Industry Alliance as a core member, to achieve mutual complementarity and benefits.
The addressor of CITICPE said that CITICPE has long been concerned about industrial investment in environmental protection, energy, and green sustainable development, and is looking forward to building a model of urban infrastructure cooperation development together with CTG.
The addressor of CWEG said that CWEG is equipped with advanced technologies, and has successfully carried out a number of national demonstration projects of the Ministry of Finance in the field of water environment management. As the Chief Editor of national standards and guidance for underground WWTP, CWEG will strengthen cooperation with CTG relying on its professional strength, to jointly explore new paths for water environmental protection in the Yangtze River Economic Zone.
