Ankang City Mayor Zhao Junmin: Building the Ankang Central Area Water Environment Management PPP Project into a National Demonstration Project

    Rural Development, Ankang Municipal Environment Protection Department and Ankang Shui Wu Ji Tuan (Ankang Water Affairs Group), a delegation headed by Zhao Junmin, Mayor of Ankang City, and Deputy Mayor He Bangjun, inspected the Jiangnan WWTP as part of the Ankang Central Area Water Environment Management PPP Project.
    Zhao Junmin debriefed carefully the persons in charge about the project and its management, design, construction, and follow-up operational plan, He gave high recognition to the Jiangnan WWTP for its adoption of CWEG’s fifth generation of proprietary underground WWTP system.

      After checking the Jiangnan WWTP construction master plan, Zhao Junmin demanded that the master plan should be maximally optimized and well organized to guarantee the quality and safety of construction and achieve project goals as scheduled. He motivated the on-site management team to build the Jiangnan WWTP into a green, low-carbon and technically advanced ecological complex by capitalizing on CWEG’s robust technical strength and up-to-date technologies and equipment, making the project a model of water environment management in Northwestern China and even the whole country.


     In this project, CWEG as a private partner is mainly responsible for the investment, design, construction and operation. The implementation of this project is of great significance not only for Ankang to win the pollution prevention and control battle and build a livable ecological city, but also for ensuring water safety of the middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.
