Han Yu, Deputy Director of the Urban Construction Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Highly Commended the Guang’an Underground WWTP

      On March 13, 2019, a delegation led by Han Yu, Deputy Director of the Urban Construction Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD), headed to Guang’an City to investigate the progress of urban construction, and visited the Guang’an Underground WWTP. Li You, Deputy Director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Chen Jie, Deputy Mayor of Guang’an City, accompanied the delegation on the investigation. CWEG Guang’an Division General Manager Liu Huaming introduced the project progress. 

 　　After listening carefully to the report made by Liu Huaming on the Guang’an “Clean Water Action” Regional Water Environment Management PPP Project, Han Yu had a detailed understanding of CWEG’s fifth generation of the underground WWTP system, efficient biological odor removal technology and water-source heat pump (WSHP) technology, etc., praising the WWTP for its world leading technology and high-quality effluent achieving Surface Water Quality Standard Class IV. He also gave the project credit for its construction quality control, operation efficiency and operation model, saying that the project is a real success in the protection and restoration of ecological environment. 


 　　  Han Yu also urged CWEG to accelerate the construction of sewer pipe network to further improve the urban and rural wastewater collection rate of Guang’an City.
