Lu Yongzheng, Vice Governor of Guizhou Province, Highly Commended CWEG’s Guizhou Xinzhuang WWTP (Phase II)
2019-03-21 On March 15, 2019, a delegation led by Lu Yongzheng, Vice Governor of Guizhou Province, investigated the wastewater overflow of the Nanming River ditch and the operation of the Xinzhuang WWTP (phase II). Xiong Dewei, Director of the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guizhou Province, Wang Ceng, Deputy Mayor of Guiyang City, Zuo Zhangchao, Head of the Guiyang Water Authority, Li Zhaoyang, Deputy Head of the Wudang District, and Wu Xiangdong, Head of the Guiyang Environmental Monitoring Central Station, participated in the investigation. CWEG Guizhou Division Assistant General Manager Wang Yongsheng and WWTP Manager Jiang Chongde introduced the project progress.
At the Nanming River wastewater ditch, Lu Yongzheng was briefed about the progress of Nanming River water environment management and WWTP construction along the river, urging relevant departments to speed up the construction and take scientific approaches to effectively solve the overflow problem. He also gave an important instruction on quickening the pace of upstream WWTP building while upholding the spirit of being practical and realistic.
The Xinzhuang WWTP (phase II) was praised by Lu Yongzheng for its clean environment, construction quality control, effective management and stable operation. At the WWTP, Lu checked effluent samples, and learned about CWEG’s background, corporate culture and the operation status of its Guizhou division. He also urged CWEG to proceed with WWTP construction, and promote the protection of the Nanming River and ecological civilization construction of Guiyang City leveraging its advanced technology and mature management experience.
