        On December 21, 2020, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Ministry of Science and Technology (MST), Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) jointly released the Green Technology Promotion Catalog. CWEG’s eco-friendly underground WWTP intensive construction and recycling technology became the only underground WWTP technology in the catalog, and one of the eight green infrastructure upgrading technologies selected by the above four government bodies, after undergoing tough competition.
        According to the selection principles announced in June, 2020, inductees in the catalog shall be: (1) cutting-edge green technologies in China; (2) mature and reliable technologies with clearly defined intellectual property rights, successful practices and the possibility of being widely used in related industries; and (3) economical, applicable and promising technologies that can promote sustainable economic and social development. CWEG underground WWTP technology was selected as a typical promising applicable cutting-edge green technology.
        This is the second time that the technology was recognized at the national level, after it became the only underground WWTP technology in the National Catalog of Cutting-edge Pollution Control Technologies released by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment in January 2020. Affirmed by the four Ministries and NDRC, the 5th generation underground WWTP independently developed by CWEG has further reinforced its position as an industry leader.
