Give Birth to Opportunities in Crisis and Open up a new Situation in Changing ---- The 2021 Annual Working Conference of CWEG Successfully Concluded

On January 22, 2021, China Water Environment Group (CWEG) held the 2021 Annual Work Conference at its head office in Beijing. The meeting summarized the comprehensive work achievements of the group in 2020, and arranged key tasks in 2021.

The following guests attended the conference. Du Wenmin, member of the Party Leading Group and Deputy General Manager of SDIC, He Yongbin, Managing Director of CPE, Zhang Zhaogang, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of COMPLANT, COMPLANT Vice President Deng Qian, and Professor Kong Hainan of Shanghai Jiaotong University. Hou Feng, CWEG President, all senior executives of the group and heads of various departments in the head office attended the meeting. Personnel from 35 parallel sessions and five asset-light platforms participated in the conference through the online conference system.

Group Vice President Chen Ming presented the 2020 Annual Work Report and 2021 Work Plan, Professor Kong Hainan presented the Group’s strategic development prospects, Vice President Shao Yanqing presented the Safety Production Work Report, and Group Administrative Officer Huang Yigang presented the Party Building Work Report.

 In his speech, Du Wenmin, member of the Party Leading Group and Deputy General Manager of SDIC, recognized the performance of CWEG in 2020 and the 2021 work plan, and gave three instructions. First, CWEG has made remarkable achievements against all the odds in 2020. Second, we must deeply study and understand the spirit of SDIC's 2021 work conference, and implement the strategies accordingly. Third, we must make concerted effort to complete five key tasks (getting listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, strategic development, progress through innovation, safety production, and party building/business integration) in 2021 to embark on a new journey of high-quality and sustainable development.

President Hou Feng stated that the distributed underground wastewater treatment ecosystem is a rare opportunity and key approach to develop China’s new green infrastructure. To transform challenges into opportunities, we must insist on technological innovation and self-reliance and maintain the bottom line while developing. We believe in “green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains” and aspire to become a world leading technology enterprise specialized in ecological resource utilization.

The list of outstanding employees in 2020 was announced through online videos. These videos are dedicated to all outstanding employees and teams in return for their prominent contributions to the group.

The road ahead is long and we can only make it through hard work. The 2021 Annual Working Conference encourages all CWEG staff to continuously carry forward the entrepreneurial spirit of hard work, diligence and dedication in the first year of the “14th Five-Year Plan”. The entire group should work together to make progress in high-quality development and do its utmost to improve the water ecosystem in China.
