To improve the level of reception servicesand establish an excellent corporate image
2019-01-28——Professional proficiency training and examination conducted for reception staff at CWEG Dali Division
In order to further improve the management capability of CWEG, develop skilled reception personnel who can serve as an example, and improve reception services, the Water Environment Institute organized a professional proficiency examination for reception personnel of CWEG Dali Division on January 23-24, 2019.
The examination was conducted to verify the effectiveness of the training organized for Dali Division leaders and related personnel on December 5, 2018. 5 full-time and part-time staff (2 drivers, 2 administrative specialists and 1 deputy logistics manager) responsible for reception related affairs of the Dali Division took and passed the examination, with an average score of 96.91.
Divided into two parts of theoretical exam and simulation practice, the examination aimed to test the receptionists’ professional proficiency. The theoretical exam adopted two forms: Q&A (drawing lots) and closed-book exam, to verify the receptionists’ expertise and language expression ability.
The simulation practice was intended to assess the receptionists’ impromptu narration ability and their knowledge about local history, customs, tourist attractions, special dishes and CWEG’s WWTP deployment. They must perform in a natural, fluent, vivid and expressive way, so as to entice the audience.
The examination highlighted practicality and effectiveness, among which the theoretical exam accounted for only 40% (125 points in total -- 100 points for Q&A and 25 points for the closed-book exam) and the simulation practice accounted for 60% (100 points in total). The examination questions focused on Dali’s history and customs, the stories about Mt. Cangshan and Erhai Lake, General Secretary Xi’s important instructions given on Erhai Lake protection during his inspection tour, and the introduction of Erhai Lake Wastewater Interception Project, plus the efforts made by the governments at all levels and CWEG during project implementation. This requires that receptionists must explain these informative, scientific and interesting content in an effective manner.
Those who pass the examination will be able to provide excellent pick-up services and show their utmost solicitude during the reception. They are thoughtful, knowledgeable and sociable. The examination will also help improve CWEG Dali Division’s reception capability and consolidate an excellent corporate image.
