The First Comprehensive Management of Urban Water Bodies in China - Fuzhou Jinshan Water System Dispatch Center

Project Overview

Around the goal of building "civilized rivers, economic rivers, and tourist rivers" in inland rivers, 11 urban inland rivers have been managed, including 5 black and odorous rivers with a total length of 31.8km and a catchment area of 34.96km². Adopting a series of comprehensive management measures including "controlling sources and intercepting pollution, treating internal sources, circulating water, replenishing clean water, ecological restoration, and long-term management", a replicable sample of Fuzhou has been formed.

Project Advantages

1. Utilize the sunken construction of urban street gardens to create the first distributed reclaimed water plant in Fuzhou that collects and processes water nearby.

2. The Taiyu River has been selected by the Fuzhou Municipal Government as the top 5 inland rivers with the best governance effect.

3. Assist Fuzhou in successfully being selected as a "National Demonstration City for Black and Stinky Water Treatment".
