Shanghai Jiading District Nanxiang Underground WWTP

The project is listed as oneof the first batch of national PPP demonstration projects.2.The project is the first underground WWTP in EasternChina.3.The project is the first underground WWTP usingfair-faced concrete technology in China.4.The project’s effluent achieves Surface WaterQuality Standard Class IV, the highest discharge standard in Shanghai.5.The project provides high-quality effluentfor replenishing the Wenzaobang River.

The 150,000 t/d (including phase I civil engineering facility of 100,000 t/d, and 50,000t/d of treatment equipment) Nanxiang Underground WWTP serves8 communities in old and new areas of the Nanxiang Town, benefiting a total population of 397,000acrossan area of 36.1 k㎡.

1.In August 2016，Shi Yaobin (front row，the second from the right)，former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Finance and head of the PPP Working Committee，inspected the Nanxiang Underground WWTP and stressed that the WWTP should be built into a premium project and a model to give full play to its demonstration role.,
