Dali Erhai Lake Water Environment Management PPP Project

1. The project innovativelyproposedthe “sponge farmland” system, reducing 20 million tonsof water pumped from the Erhai Lake every year.2. The project saved approx.RMB 610 million of investment and shortened theconstruction period by approx.6 months.

The project involved6 high-standard underground WWTPs, 234 km long trunk sewer lines, 10 pumping stations, and integrated rural wastewater treatment system, etc.

1.During an inspection tour to Dali，Yunnan province in January 2015，General Secretary Xi Jinping had a photo taken with local officials by the Erhai Lake，and said “I""ll keep it，and I hope that the water is cleaner and clearer when I come the next time”.,

2.On Feb. 25，2019，Han Zheng，member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council，inspected the Dali Shuanglang Underground WWTP.,

3.During an inspection tour in September 2015，Chen Jining (the second from the left)，the then Minister of Ecology and Environment，gave CWEG credit for its advanced ideas in water environment management.,
